April Fools' Facebook Post Gets Teen in Hot Water

A Twinsburg teenager could see charges after posting a fake burglary on the social networking site

It seems kids don't cry "wolf" anymore, they simply post it on Facebook.

On April 1 police got an urgent call from a resident on the 10200 block of Sandalwood Drive. He said his stepdaughter posted on Facebook their house was broken into. He was unable to get in touch with the girl and was rushing home.

When police showed up at the house, the girl knew it wasn't going to be pretty. She told officers it was just an April Fools' prank and that nothing actually happened. They made her change the post, clarifying it was only a joke. Police checked the house just to be safe.
