Beijing Garden Catches Fire, Suffers $10K in Damage

No one was injured in Sunday night's restaurant fire.

There were no injuries during a fire at a local restuarant Sunday night, however, it did cause $10,000 in damage, according to a media release from the Twinsburg Fire Department.

Just after 7 p.m. firefighters responded to a call from Beijing Garden at 7995 Darrow Road when smoke was filling the restaurant and coming from the roof.

Responders were able to hold the fire in the kitchen, most of the damage caused by smoke and water inside.

Four other businesses in the plaza were evacuated.

Fire and EMS crews from Macedonia, Aurora, Reminderville and Hudson responded, totaling 22 firefighters on the scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
