Cleveland Man Flees Cops, Officer Injured During Chase
The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction
A Twinsburg police officer suffered minor injuries after he fell while chasing a man behind on Darrow Road on March 22.
Glen Redmond, 41, of Cleveland, is charged with assault and obstruction of justice, both felonies, and resisting arrest after leading officers on a foot chase.
Redmond was involved in a three-car accident on Darrow Road in front of the around 3:30 p.m. By the time dispatchers alerted police Redmond had a warrant, he was already leaving the scene, according to the report.

When officers yelled at him to stop, he started running down Darrow Road, crossing Creekside Drive. One of the officers was almost hit by a car crossing the road after him.
The chase went through the rear parking lot of the 5/3 Bank, where one of the officers fell into a sewer grate, injuring his left hand. He continued chasing Redmond behind the and into a marshy field by the highway.

Another officer cut Redmond off from exiting the field and he was arrested.
The injured officer was sent to University Hospital to get x-rays and treatment for minor injuries to his hand.
