Cops Find 'Shrooms' During Traffic Stop

A Philadelphia, PA, man was stopped for speeding, but a search of his car had some psychedelic finds

Twinsburg Police had some pretty "far-out" finds during a routine traffic stop on March 19.

Joseph Cotler, 23, of Philadelphia, PA, was pulled over for speeding on I-480. As officers were writing the ticket, they asked to check his car.

When they did, they discovered a baggy containing psilocybin mushrooms, also known as "shrooms." They were found in Cotler's backpack, but he said that they weren't his, but his friend's.

He later told officers he bought them from a "random guy at a party in Cleveland" for $80.

As they kept looking they also found a coffee can with loose marijuana and buds, a digital scale and $180. More marijuana blunts were found around the car as well.
