Curfew, Marijuana Get Teens in Trouble
Police bust teenagers for curfew violation and possession of marijuana
Police pulled over a car weaving in and out of lanes on I-480 East on Saturday, Feb. 5, around 2:30 a.m.
When they approached the car they noticed a strong smell of burnt marijuana. They asked a 16-year-old passenger if he was in possession of any drugs, which he denied. However, when police told the boy they would bring in the canine unit to search the car, he quickly provided them with four small baggies of marijuana from his shirt pocket and was arrested.
The driver, who police noticed was groggy with bloodshot eyes, said he was on his way home to Streetsboro and wasn't aware of any curfew laws. He later admitted to smoking weed several hours before driving.
