Drunken Driver Strikes Guardrail, Takes Out Mailbox: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department.

On Aug. 18, at around 1:30 a.m. were called to a Cannon Road residence for a car accident.

According to police, the woman was driving drunk on Cannon Road and took the turn too wide, striking a guardrail, going across the road and hitting a mailbox.

The woman was charged with drunken driving and failure to control.

Streetsboro police advised Twinsburg officers of a reckless driver traveling westbound on 480 on Aug. 16.

Police found the car and the driver had an open container of alcohol in the center console.

After failing field sobriety tests, the Cleveland man was arrested for drunken driving. 

On Aug. 15, officers stopped a car for weaving on Ravenna Road.

The male driver was arrested for drunken driving.

They stole what?

On Aug. 16 a Canyon Falls Boulevard business owner reported the theft of two storm sewer grates.  

The grates are valued at $187 each and were taken sometime the week before.

Nothing good happens late at night

At around 11:20 p.m. on Aug. 16 police found a parked car at the end of Chamberlin Trail occupied by a group of juveniles.

Three were taken into custody for violating curfew and a fourth was found with a marijuana pipe.

All of them were released to their parents.
