Fire Department Aids in Cuyahoga Falls VFW Blaze

Several departments in surrounding communities were called to help subdue the fire, which has engulfed the VFW on Main Street.

The was called for mutual aid when it was reported that the Cuyahoga Falls VFW was on fire at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.

As it stands, there are no injuries and police suspect that faulty electrical wiring may have been the cause.

Fire departments from Stow, Hudson, Fairlawn and Tallmadge were called in to help subdue the fire at 1581 Main St, said Cuyahoga Falls Lt. Dale Gramley.

A large section of Main Street is currently closed to keep the public and passers-by at a safe distance.
