Fire Destroys Township Home

Firefighters were called to an early morning blaze on Buchtel Street in Twinsburg Township

A single-family home on Buchtel Street was destroyed by a fire around 2:45 a.m. today. No one was in the home at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured.

When crews arrived, fire was shooting from all four sides of the house, said Fire Capt. Steve Bosso. No one was in the house, but it was fully furnished, he added. He estimated the damage at $83,000 and the content loss was $10,000.

Fire Investigator Lynne Racine said the fire started in the roof of the one-story home, but the damage was so extensive investigators are saying the cause is undetermined. She added that there are multiple owners and they were doing renovations to the house so it could be rented.
