Fire Fighters Train With MedEvac Flight Crews

Members of the Twinsburg Fire Department will be training to deal with medical helicopters on Saturday

If you see medical helicopters hovering around Glenwood Drive on Saturday, don't worry, everything is just fine.

The will be doing extensive field training exercises with flight crews from MedEvac on Saturday.

The all-day training event, which will be held at TFD station No. 2 on Glenwood Drive, is designed to refresh and enhance the skill levels of the flight crews, including pilots and medical personnel.

Two MedEvac helicopters will fly into the landing area behind station 2 and the attendees will have a full day of lecture and practical skills evaluations at several break-out stations. Some of the areas they cover include fire extinguisher training, survival training, scene safety and combative patients, and certified Flight RN and Flight Paramedic Certification Practice Test.
