Five Charged For Drunken Driving Over St. Patrick's Day Weekend

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

While it might not have been as many as you thought it would be, five people were arrested for drunken driving late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

According to police reports, arrested and charged five people over the St. Patrick's Day holiday with drunken driving in different parts of the city.

The first person was stopped for weaving on Andrew Drive and Chamberlin Road around 1 p.m. on Saturday and later charged for drunken driving.

Another driver was pulled over for weaving and driving up on the curb and sidewalk just before midnight Saturday. He refused a breathalyzer test and was charged with drunken driving.

The third person, a Rocky River man, was stopped at Arbor Glen Apartments after he was pulled over for weaving in his lane just after midnight on Sunday and charged with drunken driving.

Officers got a fourth driver around 1:16 a.m. after he was seen "swerving all over the roadway" on I-480. The man was pulled over and then arrested for drunken driving.

The final stop was around 1:20 a.m on I-480 when a man sped past an officer in the right lane. He was pulled over and underwent a field sobriety test and charged for driving drunk.
