Girl's Violin Stolen and Multiple Drunk Drivers Charged: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Jan 13 the mother of a student came to the to report that her daughter's violin was taken from the school. She reported that the violin was left at the school before Christmas break and was missing when she got back to school on Jan. 4. The value of the violin is estimated at $200.

On Jan. 13 police responded to a reported hit-skip car accident on I-480. Officers later found the suspect driving south on SR 91 away from the accident and initiated a traffic stop. After investigation, the 57-year-old driver was arrested for drunken driving, a hit-skip accident, and speeding.

On Jan. 13 officers stopped a truck on I-480 east bound. Officers spoke with the driver about his erratic driving and performed field sobriety tests on the man. He was charged with drunken driving, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving in marked lanes, and resisting arrest. He was released on $500 cash bond.

On Jan 13 police were called to for a reported fight. Students involved were separated, processed, and removed from school. Five female, juvenile students will be charged with disorderly conduct for fighting within a school (a fourth degree misdemeanor) and referred to the Juvenile Diversion Program.
