Holly Miktarian plans to ride a bicycle from New Jersey to Washington D.C. in honor of her fallen husband, Twinsburg Policeman Joshua Miktarian, and another fallen area officer.
Miktarian plans to participate in the Police Unity Tour, a bicycle ride in May that raises money for the National Law Enforcement Memorial in the nation's capital.
To participate, Miktarian needs to raise $1,750 for the memorial. She still has to raise $830.
Would you like to donate? Visit Miktarian's donation page.
On her page, Miktarian explains that she will ride in honor of her husband, who was killed during a traffic stop in 2008, and Tommy Patton, a Cleveland Heights police officer who died in the line of duty in 2010.
Miktarian said she has never done something like the Police Unity Tour. She wrote:
I am very honored to ride in memory of my husband. It will be emotional for me as I ride into DC and see my daughter standing next to her Daddy's name on the National Memorial Wall.
If you are able to donate something I would greatly appreciate it, big or small. If you cant afford to donate, please keep me in your thoughts,I've never done something like this before!!
