A Panera employee, 41-year-old Elizabeth A. Judd of Streetsboro, was also charged with felony theft because police say she helped the suspect with the theft, according to the police report.

The laptop, valued at about $1,000, belonged to a Panera employee who was working in the restaurant. She stepped away from the computer and asked Judd to watch the laptop for her. Surveillance footage from the incident on Jan. 17 shows that a man then quickly unplugged the laptop and walked out of the restaurant.

After Judd was arrested, police were able to convince her to talk to the man and get him to return the laptop. He left the laptop behind the men's room at a park in Macedonia. It was later retrieved and returned to the employee.
