Man Accused of Choking, Threatening Sherwin Drive Woman

A Twinsburg man was arrested by police Sunday and is accused of choking and threatening to kill his neighbor.

Tylor Brooks, 20, of Sherwin Drive, was charged with assault, aggravated menacing, assault of an officer, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and underage consumption, according to .

According to the report, a 56-year-old Sherwin Drive woman, Brooks' neighbor, was getting ready for bed when he called her and asked to come over.

The two were sitting on the porch when the woman said be became angry and eventually grabbed her throat.

The victim told police that while choking her he said, "I don't know you, but I am going to kill you." She believed he was drunk the entire time.

She was able to escape and get her husband who called police, while Brooks passed out in a chair on their porch.

When police arrived he was still asleep and officers struggled to wake him up, noticing that he "urinated on himself."

As police tried to get him up, according to the report, he threw an elbow at one of the officers and struggled as they attempted to handcuff him.

Police said on the way to the station he was shouting foul insults at the officers and once there, was spitting all over his jail cell and the camera inside.
