Man Flees From Cops to Relieve Himself

Two men jumped out of a car and ran on foot when they saw a police cruiser. One man said he just had to pee

Usually when people run from the cops they are trying to get out of trouble. Others just really have to pee.

As Twinsburg police were getting off a previous call on May 21, they saw a car full of young people pull into an abandoned house down the street and two men bolt out of the car.

Officers later found Shaun Fitzgerald, 21, of Kent standing by the corner of Darrow Road and Richner Court. When police asked him why he fled the car when they were pulling up, he told officers he "just had to pee" and didn't want to get busted for indecent exposure. Instead, he was charged with obstruction and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Police also found three juveniles in the car, all three smelling of alcohol, according to the report. They were taken into custody for curfew violation.

While searching the car officers found Darcell Smith, 25, of Twinsburg "sleeping" in the cargo area of the car under a pile of clothes. He later admitted he was hiding because he had too much to drink that night. He was also charged with obstruction and disorderly conduct.
