Man Pulls Gun On Twinsburg Police Officer During Traffic Stop

Twinsburg Police officers had to remove a man from his car by gunpoint after they noticed a gun in his hand after a traffic stop.

No one was hurt and the man, a 25-year-old Wickliffe resident who was intoxicated, was taken into custody without any more trouble, according to the police report.

Joshua R. Tucker, 25, of Wickliffe, was arrested and charged with felony carrying a concealed weapon, felony improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, using weapons while intoxicated and reckless operation.

The passenger, a 25-year-old Twinsburg resident, was taken to Twinsburg Police and later release.

On Feb. 16 at about 11:20 p.m., a Twinsburg police officer noticed a car driving recklessly in a parking lot on Ravenna Road.  He pulled the driver over and as he approached the car, he noticed a handgun in the driver's hand.

The police officer ordered the man from the car by gunpoint and placed him in handcuffs.

Police confiscated a .40-caliber handgun and two magazines filled with bullets.
