Marijuana Smells Trouble During Traffic Stop

Police find marijuana, vodka bottle and many suspensions during traffic stop

A Maple Heights man hit the multiple charges jackpot when he was pulled over by Twinsburg Police on Thursday, Feb. 3, at around 11:30 p.m.

Kalvin Henderson, 26, was stopped by police heading east on I-480 when they noticed the temporary tag on the car, owned by someone else, was expired.

When police stopped Henderson, they found multiple open suspensions on his record. As he was arrested the officers smelled burned marijuana. Henderson said he had a "blunt roach" in the ashtray. After searching the car they found the marijuana cigarette as well as a bag of marijuana under the driver's side mat and an open bottle of vodka. Henderson said he drank it a few days earlier.
