Multiple Catalytic Converters Stolen: The Blotter

On Jan. 31 a Darrow Road woman called and reported that a catalytic converter was removed from her car overnight. She stated that she parked her car in the parking area of 9209 Darrow Rd. the night before and when she started it up next it sounded louder. She told police she looked under her car and saw that someone had cut the catalytic converter from the vehicles exhaust system.

The same night, an Arbor Glen Drive man reported his girlfriend's car was missing its catalytic converter. The owner said the car was parked in the back parking lot the night before. She found the converter was missing the next day.

A few days later, on Feb. 2, officers responded to Darrow Park Drive for another theft of a catalytic convertor. The victim said that sometime the day before,  someone cut the catalytic convertor off her car, which was parked outside her apartment.

On Feb. 1 police found a car stuck in the grass of parking lot. After an investigation, the driver, a Twinsburg man, was arrested for drunken driving. He was charged with drunken driving, high blood-alcohol content and reckless driving. The man was released on a $500 bond to his daughter.

On Feb. 1 officers stopped a car for a traffic violation along I-480. The driver was then arrested for drunken driving and taken back to the station. The man was charged with drunken driving, high blood-alchol content, and reckless driving. The man was held on a $500 bond.

On Feb. 1, while patrolling a parking lot, police found "a suspicious vehicle." The car left and was stopped at the intersection of Shepard and Ravenna Roads. A consent search of the car was conducted and a marijuana pipe was located in the glovebox. The owner/driver was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

On Feb. 2 a resident reported that his ex-girlfriend was refusing to return his car. An officer contacted the female who agreed to return the vehicle. She was told that she could be charged criminally if she didn't.
