Nearly $500 in Snacks, Drinks Reported Stolen From Dodge

Dodge Principal Barbara Werstler told police the items taken from the concession stand were for a student camping trip

Almost $500 in snack food and drinks were reported stolen from a concession stand at last week, according to a police report.

On Wednesday, May 16 police responded to Dodge for a a report of breaking and entering.

Principal Barbara Werstler told officers that sometime between 4 p.m. May 15 and 7 a.m. May 16 someone broke into the concession stand and stole between $400-$500 in snacks and drinks.

According to the report, almost one-third of the stock was left behind. The items were for a fifth grade camping trip the next day.

Werstler said there were no signs of forced entry into the building and that the
they person possibly had a key. She also said the Twinsburg soccer program also uses the building, but didn't know how many people had keys.

Several days before the incident someone had left the concession sales window unsecured, Werstler reported. Police secured the window but are unsure if it is related.

An officer checked the surrounding area but found no signs of the missing items. Special attention was placed on the area for late evening and early morning hours.
