PHOTOS: Twinsburg Police Cruiser Gets Restored in Germany

A retired TPD police cruiser was bought at an auction and restored by a man in Germany

"If you happen to find yourself near Dusseldorf, Germany, and you see a Twinsburg police car, you are not hallucinating," joked Twinsburg Police Chief Chris Noga.

That's because there is a TPD cruiser driving around Germany now.

Thorsten Schwetke, a German police officer, bought an old Twinsburg cruiser at an auction last year. An avid restorer of American police cars, Schwetke asked the department if he could restore it as it once was, down to all the smallest logos and graphics.

The only request Noga had was the number of the car was changed to "45" to honor fallen officer Joshua Miktarian.

Schwetke plans to take it around Europe to different car shows.
