Police Blotter: Theft, Burglary, Bogus 911 Call

Theft
A bottle of pinot grigio wine was stolen from the BP gas station at 2496 Aurora Rd. at about 1:30 a.m. July 23.
Burglary

An Ashcroft Lane resident reported that jewelry was taken from her bedroom while she was not at home. Investigation is ongoing.
Concealed weapon, drug paraphernalia

Police stopped a driver for weaving on State Route 91 near Glenwood at 1:25 a.m. July 24, and found that the driver was carrying a concealed weapon and drug paraphernalia. He was ordered to appear in Stow Municipal Court on Aug. 2.
Obstructing, misuse of 911 calls
A 911 phone call at about 4 p.m. July 24 claiming to be from a Pinebark Place residence to complain about a police officer's presence on his property was traced to another caller, who was arrested for misuse of 911 system and obstruction of official business. He was held in TPD Jail for bond.
Vandalism, criminal property damage
• On July 24 at about 8:45 p.m., police responded to the playground behind Heron Cove for a vandalism report. The sliding boards were vandalized with black marker. A juvenile suspect was named by the complainant. Investigation is ongoing.
• A resident on the 2800 block of Tinkers Lane told police that a family member may have thrown rocks through his house the night of July 24-25. An officer responded, confirmed the damage and will attempt to contact the family member.
