Police Bust Student for Buying Drugs on School Bus

A Twinsburg High School student was arrested for marijuana and assaulting a student

Administrators at Twinsburg High School called police when they got wind that a drug deal happened on a school bus ride to the TAPS school on Feb. 17.

A THS administrator went with police to meet the student who bought the drugs in the lunch room. When they searched her bookbag, they found a plastic bag with a rolled-up paper towel inside a sanitary pad bag.

When asked about it, the girl said it was a used tampon. Once it was unrolled they found another small plastic bag of "green, leafy material." She told them she found it on the ground.

They put her in another classroom with students and a teacher and began discussing what to do next.

As they were talking a loud thump and shouting came from the room. When they got inside they saw a student lying on the floor and the girl was ready to kick the person on the floor. She was shouting how they would never "narc" on her again.

An officer grabbed her before she could land another kick, but not before she got him in the leg. The officer only suffered a minor injury.

She was taken to the ground and arrested. They charged the girl with retaliation, assault, resisting arrest and drug abuse. She was transported to the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.
