UPDATED: Instructional Aid Escorted From Wilcox; Students Safe and Not Involved

Twinsburg Superintendent Kathi Powers said that children are "safe and learning" at Wilcox.

UPDATE: Twinsburg Police were called to Wilcox because an instructional aid was asked to leave the building and had refused.

As the Twinsburg Bulletin reported, police were called to escort the aid from the building.

We will update with more information once we have it.

Twinsburg Police went to Wilcox Primary School to respond to an incident "unrelated to students" at the schools.

Superintendent Kathi Powers sent a phone message out to Wilcox parents informing them that their children are safe and learning at the school.

Here is the text of her complete message to parents:

This is Kathi Powers your Superintendent.  Today is Tuesday, March 12 and I am calling to inform you that we had a police response at Wilcox today that was unrelated to students attending that school.  This incident was not a disruption to your child’s day as the students were not aware of the concern. I am calling to merely inform you of the police response and to assure you that your child is safe and learning today at Wilcox.  Again, my intention for this call is to be certain you have accurate information.  Thank you.

Details on the incident are not known, but Twinsburg Patch is following up and will bring you information when we have it.

Why can't the public know why? It's public information when a arrest has been made.
