Police Hosting Rabies Vaccination Clinic

The clinic will run on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Twinsburg Police Department is hosting a rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteer veterinarians and staff members will be on hand to vaccinate dogs and cats withthe rabies vaccine for $5 per pet.

According to the Summit County Environmental Health Code, all dogs and cats in Summit County shall be vaccinated against rabies within 30 days after the dog or cat has reached the age of three months.

Every dog or cat initially vaccinated must be revaccinated one year later and thereafter at not more than 36-month intervals.

The clinic is open to all and will be held at the Twinsburg Police Department at 10075 Ravenna Rd.

Vaccines will be given on a first come first serve basis and no appointment is needed.

Other vaccines will also be available for an additional cost.

All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be secured in a safe carrier.
