Police: Man Admits He Smoked Crack at Local Motel

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A 46-year-old Streetsboro man admitted to police that he smoked crack cocaine at a motel before police pulled him over on July 14, according to the police report.

An officer saw a car pull out of a the Blue Top Motel, a "known high drug area," failing to use a turn signal as he turned on Depot Street.

During the stop the man said he smoked $70 worth of crack cocaine, performing poorly on the field sobriety tests.

He was arrested and charged for driving under the influence of of drugs, driving under suspension, two counts of drug paraphernalia possession and drug abuse.

Police said he had a burnt scrubbing pad with crack cocaine on it as well as a burned spoon with a white powder residue.
