UPDATED: Power Restored After Car Struck Utility Pole

A car hit a telephone poll along Ravenna Road near Presidential Parkway on Thursday afternoon.

6:50 P.M. THURSDAY UPDATE:

Because of the power outage, there will be no evening activities at Dodge Middle, R. B. Chamberlin and Twinsburg High.

6 P.M. THURSDAY UPDATE:

More than 1,800 power customers in Twinsburg are without power, according to First Energy's outage map.

The Twinsburg library and the Twinsburg Fitness Center is closed without power.

Ravenna Road is closed after a car struck a telephone pole near Presidential Parkway on Thursday afternoon.

Traffic is being rerouted away from the crash through side streets. The power company is at the scene working to restore power.

The condition of the driver is unknown at this time.
