Remembering Officer Josh Miktarian on Peace Officers Memorial Day
Josh Miktarian was shot and killed while on duty in July 2008.
It is National Police Officer week and the Twinsburg Police Department is remembering their friend Officer Joshua Miktarian, who died in the line of duty in July 2008, and all fallen officers.
Wednesday is National Peace Officers Day.
On Monday, at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C., those who died in the line of duty in 2013 were remembered. Lt. Bob Gonsiewski and Officer Jeff Hayes represented the Twinsburg Police Department at the event, according to this Facebook post.

Also shared on the police department's Facebook page is a list of events this week to celebrate and memorialize fallen officers during the 28th Annual Police Memorial Commemoration.
Josh's wife, Holly, participated in a Police Unity Tour last week where more than 1,000 participants joined her to raise money for the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
