The victim of a fatal car crash on SR 91 Friday evening was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.

Lt. Scott Cottle said Dwayne Reichard, 49, of Tallmadge, wrecked his van traveling southbound on SR 91 near Joshua Miktarian Parkway and was transported to the Cleveland Clinic emergency department in Twinsburg, where he was pronounced dead.

Several witnesses said Reichard looked like he was slumped over the wheel and swerving, when he went off the left side of the road, side-swiped a utility pole, then crashed into a tree on the other side of the road, Cottle said.

He said he doesn't believe this was an alcohol-related incident and no other cars were involved. Reichard was not wearing his seatbelt.
