Sister, Girlfriend of Joshua Miktarian's Murderer Plead Guilty

The sister and former girlfriend of the killer of Joshua Miktarian both pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice in connection with the police officer's murder.

Two women pleaded guilty to attempted obstruction of justice today in Cuyahoga County Court in connection with the murder of Twinsburg Police Officer Joshua Miktarian.

Bridget Robinson, sister of Miktarian's killer, Ashford Thompson, and Danielle Roberson, Thompson's former girlfriend, both pleaded guilty, according to the Twinsburg Police Department.

The obstruction charge is a fourth-degree felony. Both woman will be sentenced at a later date.

Both women were arrested by the U.S. Marshall's Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force around noon on May 1.

The Plain Dealer reported that Roberson was in the car at the time of the shooting and removed the gun from the car. Robinson is accused of trying to free Thompson from his handcuffs after he fled the scene of the July 13, 2008 shooting.

Thompson was convicted and sentenced to death for shooting Miktarian in the head four times during a routine traffic stop.
