Suicidal Man Charges At Police With Knife

The information in this report is from the Twinsburg Police. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A Twinsburg man was taken to the Cleveland Clinic for psychiatric evaluation after police say he charged at officers with a knife.

On Jan. 20 at about 1 a.m., Twinsburg police received a call from the Macedonia Police Department about a possibly suicidal man in a truck at a park in that city.

Police officers checked the park, and then informed Twinsburg that the man lived  in Twinsburg. Officers went to the house to see if they could find the man.

While approaching the house, the man charged out of a side door with a black-handled buck knife, according to the report.

Officers ordered the man to drop the knife and get on the ground. The man complied and he was taken to the hospital.
