Suspicious Car at Moraine Park Leads to Drug Bust: The Blotter

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department

Suspicious car? Check. Empty park? Check. Late at night? Check. Of course the are going to check it out.

On May 28 at 9:36 p.m. police saw an older Oldsmobile parked in the parking lot of Moraine Park with its lights off.

The officer found two men in the car, which smelled like marijuana. Police found a burned marijuana cigarette, a baggy of marijuana and an empty baggy.

However, only the driver was charged with drug possession, and he was released at the scene.

On May 29 a Beachwood man went to police, saying his 12-year-old son was assaulted by his aunt at a picnic the day before.

The boy told police that his aunt hit him and choked him, showing the officer marks on his neck.

The aunt came to the station and filled out a statement about the incident but no charges were filed.

No fight, but they found something else

Cops were dispatched to Warren Parkway on May 29 for a reported fight, with a possible knife involved.

Once police were on the scene they found there hadn't been any physical contact, only yelling.

While there wasn't a fight, they did find a marijuana pipe and a bottle of vodka on two juveniles and a crack pipe on a man.

The adult was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and the kids were sent with their parents.
