Teen Eats Marijuana In Attempt To Hide It From Police

The information in this report is from the Twinsburg Police. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A Twinsburg Township teen faces charges after he tried to hide marijuana from police by eating it, according to a police report.

On Jan. 6, a police officer tried to pull over a car for speeding on Darrow Road. The car continued to speed away and only stopped later after turning onto Twinsburg Road and then Wildel Drive, the report reads.

The officer approached the car to find the teen driver, a 17-year-old from Twinsburg Township, with marijuana all over his mouth and clothes.

The teen admitted to police that he didn't pull over right away because he was trying to eat the marijuana to hide it, according to the report.

The teen was released to his mother. He was referred to Summit County Juvenile Court on charges of failure to comply with the signal of a police officer, marijuana possession and speeding.
