Teen Nabbed With Weed and Open Beer During Traffic Stop

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

Twinsburg Police stopped a car on Glenwood Drive near Bissell Elementary for speeding and running a red light on Aug. 19 around 12:30 a.m.

The driver, a 17-year-old Solon juvenile, was given a warning for both, however, during the stop the officer smelled marijuana coming from inside.

During a search they found marijuana, a glass smoking device with marijuana residue and an open can of beer in the cup holder.

He was released to his parents and was charged with drug abuse, drug paraphernalia and open container in Summit County Juvenile Court.
