Tense Work Situation Gets 'Hairy' at Twinsburg Great Clips

One of the workers went to police to press charges over a threatening situation.

It might not be the "cutting edge" of crime, but a disagreement escalated so much between two Twinsburg employees, the police got involved.

Sharika McGhee, 30, of Bedford Heights went to the Twinsburg Police Department on April 14 to file a report of menacing against a fellow employee of the Great Clips on Darrow Road.

She told officers that earlier in the week she and another employee, Jennifer Rhodes, 32, of Akron, had a disagreement.

When discussing an issue Rhodes had, McGhee told her to "mind her own business." Later Rhodes confronted her, telling McGhee she would "beat her a**."

It was after that comment that McGhee left work and reported the threat.

Police then talked to Rhodes. She said McGhee used a product on a customer that was against company policy and she reported it to management. She said when McGhee found out, she called and told her to "mind her own business" and to "watch her back."

Rhodes said McGhee confronted her again that day and left work. She denied making any threats when asked by police. Officers made it clear that any threat of violence is illegal.

Rhodes also filed a report against McGhee with Akron police.
