Twinsburg Fire Department Welcomes New Chaplain

Pastor Michael Millet once served the department as a volunteer firefighter

The has welcomed back a familiar face to the force.

Pastor Michael Millet, who once served TFD as a volunteer firefighter and paramedic in the late '90s, has been named the new chaplain, according to a press release from the department.

Millet, the pastor of the Summit Church in Twinsburg (and a blogger for Twinsburg Patch), replaces , who took a pastoral position in Toledo earlier this year.

Millet is a member of the Federation of Fire Chaplains and was activated to serve at Ground Zero in New York City in the days following the September 11 terrorist attacks, the release said.

He is also a full-time firefighter and paramedic for the city of Bedford. He and his wife Rebecca live with their two children in Auburn.
