Twinsburg Man Accused of Vehicular Homicide Pleads Not Guilty

A Twinsburg man accused of vehicular homicide and assault entered a plea of not guilty on Thursday, July 21, in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.

Glenn Parrish Jr., 23, of Sherwin Drive, pleaded not guilty to two charges of vehicular homicide and five counts of vehicular assault. The case report also shows two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Police said on June 18, Parrish was driving a minivan with five passengers when he ran a red light on MLK Boulevard in Cleveland and hit another van.

Police said no one in Parrish's van was wearing a seatbelt and two people were ejected from the van. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other died from injuries while at the hospital.

The other passengers recovered from their injuries as well as the driver and passenger of the other van.

Parrish himself was treated at MetroHealth Medical Center for his injuries and released to police on June 27, according to the Twinsburg Bulletin.

He is still in Cuyahoga County jail with a bond of $100,000.
