Twinsburg Man Charged With Assault for Biting Girlfriend

The following information was provided by the Twinsburg Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A Twinsburg man faces assault charges after he was accused of biting his girlfriend on July 14 around noon.

The woman told 19-year-old Eugene Vassar bit her several times during an argument at the 1600 block of Pinebark Place.

Police saw bruises on the back of her arm and spots on her legs where someone had bitten through her jeans, according to the police report.

She told officers an argument started because Vassar took her cell phone and accused her of taking his. 

That's when he started biting her. She said none of the bites broke the skin.

Police talked with Vassar, who admitted to biting his girlfriend.

He said he bit her because she took his phone and was kicking him. She told police she kicked because he was on top of her and she was trying to get away.

The report noted he had no visible marks on him.

Vassar was arrested and charged with assault, a first-degree misdemeanor.
