Twinsburg Man Charged with Breaking Into Solon Recreation Building

A Twinsburg man was arrested Saturday and charged with breaking and entering after Solon Police found him and another man with power tools owned by the city of Solon, according to an arrest report.

Terrance Rutkai, 18, and John Hudak, 33, of Streetsboro, were both charged with breaking and entering and receiving stolen property, both felonies. Hudak also had an active arrest warrant from Portage County.

According to the report, a Solon police officer pulled over a Chevy heading east on Aurora Road near Liberty Road.

As the officer approached the car, one of the men said to him: "What's up, Doughnut?"

The officer said there were two black garbage bags in the back of the car filled with power tools and other equipment. All of the equipment had labels that said Solon Recreation Department.

Police said a city storage building on Portz Parkways had been broken into just before the men were arrested.
