Twinsburg Man Faces Charges on Vehicular Homicide and Assault

Bond was set in the case of Glenn Parrish Jr. in Cleveland Municipal Court this morning

UPDATED 12:15 p.m.: A Twinsburg man accused of killing two people in a car crash over the weekend had his first appearance in court this morning.

Bond of $100,000 was set for Glenn Parrish Jr., 23, at a hearing today in Cleveland Municiapal Court.

Parrish was charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and five counts of aggravated vehicular assault, News Channel 5 reports.

Police said Parrish was driving a minivan with six passengers last Saturday morning when he ran a red light on MLK Boulevard in Cleveland and hit another van.

Police said no one in Parrish's van was wearing a seatbelt and two people were ejected from the van. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other died from injuries while at the hospital.

The other passengers recovered from their injuries as well as the driver and passenger of the other van.

According to police, drugs and alcohol were not involved, but speeding played a role in the accident.
