4 Officially Filed for Twinsburg Council Seats in November

Ward 4 Councilwoman Maureen Stauffer is the only candidate with an official opponent.

Only four people are officially competing for seats on Twinsburg City Council in the November 5 election, while several others have thrown their names in the race.

Of the four already filed, only one person is not an incumbent. Maher Holozadah, of Nathaniel Lane, is set to run against incumbent Maureen Stauffer in Ward 4, according to the Summit County Board of Elections.

Editor's Note: We originally reported that Maureen Stauffer pulled petitions for school board but there was a mistake by the Board of Elections and she actually pulled petitions for another candidate, not herself.

In Ward 5, current Council President Seth Rodin has officially filed. While he has no official opponent yet, Stephen Shebeck has pulled an application.

Shebeck is currently a member of the board of education.

The 90-day filing deadline for the November election is Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 4 p.m.

At-Large-Councilman Gary Sorace is also filed but has no opponent yet, as none have pulled.
