Chamber of Commerce is Moving Home Again

The Twinsburg Chamber of Commerce will be moving back to Church Street

The used to operate in a now vacant building at 9044 Church Street, overlooking Twinsburg Square.

It will be its home once more.

approved a lease agreement between the chamber and the city Tuesday, allowing them to move back into the Church Street building.

Commonly referred to as the "Chamber House," both the city and chamber desired to have a presence in the center of town again.

The lease agreement would be one year rent free and would "put some life back into the house," Law Director David Maistros said.

The city will plow the driveway, cut the grass and replace the furnace.

The city’s cost won’t increase, but they also won’t decrease and they must give written consent to sublet the upstairs portion of the house.

The chamber will not be paying the cost of utilities at this time, Maistros said.

"I like the city having the opportunity to control that property,” Council President Ted Yates said.
