City officials are looking for ways to improve the play experience at Gleneagles Golf Course and are considering hiring a consultant to study the city-owned course.

Twinsburg City Counsil is considering an ordinance to hire Golf Sense Inc. to study the course and make recommendations on how it can remain competitive with the area's other municipal and private golf courses.

Golf Sense beat out three other firms for consideration. The ordinance to hire the firm had its first reading Tuesday night.

The study will examine each hole and look for ways to improve their design and landscaping to make a better experience for golfers. The goal, of course, is to help the course bring in more revenue and more rounds of golf each year.
