City Council to Discuss Amending Employee Wages, Classifications

Twinsburg City Council meets tonight at 7 p.m.

One of the topics up for discussion at tonight's city council meeting will be about amending salaries, wages, and classificatons for some city employees. Tonight's meeting is at at 7 p.m.

This new legislation would grant salary increases and classificaton changes effective Jan. 1, 2012.

It would also give all employees, except for department heads and management, step positions and would increase that pay step after 12 months, depending on performance.

New employees would be placed on a step agreed upon by either the department head or mayor and based on the person's level of experience or training. It would also allow them to advance to the next step after six months, based on good performance and the mayor's approval.

Some of the steps listed include the mayor's, who is listed at $92,277 for 2012. It also includes the pay ranges for other city employees (all the figures listed can be found in the PDF section above).
