Corbett Farm: What Do You Want to See?

Patch wants your opinion: What would you like to see done with the 82-acre property that was Corbett Farm?

If you could put anything at Corbett Farm, what would it be?

This week Michael Turle approached city leaders presenting his idea to turn the 82 acres into a city park.

Turle said he would love to see soccer and football fields, and maybe moving the community gardens into the spot as well.

While the mayor and council applauded his creativity, they said the cost to buy the property back from MSRK LLC would be too high.

At a price of $4.5 million, it would come out to $55,000 an acre before taxes, a steep price for the city.

Turle also suggested finding corporate sponsors or even grant money to purchase the land, saying he'd be happy to just see empty space and mowed twice a year.

Twinsburg Patch wants your opinion.

What would you like to see happen with the property at Corbett Farm? Whether it's realistic or a dream, share your vision for the property in the comments section below.

Corbett Farm--I still can't figure out the need the tear it down---It was a pleasant site. Could of used it the way it was for holidays and as farm example for the Twinsburg kids. It could be selling pumpkins right now and the barn could of been a haunted house.... Santa could of been there at Xmas and the Easter Bunny with an egg hunt in the Spirng. Totally disappointed by the lack of vistion and the need to destroy history. As you get older you learn

My husband and I 100% agree with Mr. Turle. We want to see city parks and trails! Green space!

It is an ideal area that would be lovely for a park. Trees, flowers, walking paths and an area for local concerts. Make it an area for all ages to relax and enjoy it's beauty.

Upscale housing development adhering to Twinsburg zoning laws.

sorry ArnoldB, but squeeeezing 200 cluster homes into 80 acres is hardly 'upscale',, more like bleeed every square foot of land out of Corbett farm all in the name of GREEEEED...
