Cuyahoga County Cuts Contract with Financial Network of America

Owner, Charles Randazzo, pleaded guilty to bribery in obtaining county contracts

The troubles continue for Twinsburg's financial services company Financial Network of America.

Ed Fitzgerald, Cuyahoga County executive, announced today they will terminate the county's contract with FNA, according to a press release.

In April, owner Charles Randazzo, 62, of Solon, and a leader at the FNA, pleaded guilty to exchanging favors to public officials for Cuyahoga County's business.

Those bribes are believed to have helped FNA land business with the county as one of three administrators of deferred compensation retirement accounts for Cuyahoga County employees.

“Free tiki huts and fake palm trees will never again have a bearing on who gets county business,” Fitzgerald said in the release.  “Our vendors will be selected based on merit, with no exceptions.”
