Planning Commission to Vote on Site Plans for Vistar-Ohio Facility

The commission is scheduled to vote on a conditional use permit and final site plan approval to move the food distributor into the former Chrysler stamping plant

After tonight, the stage could be set for the first project in the Chrysler redevelpment to get under way.

The Twinsburg Planning Commission is scheduled to vote on a conditional-use permit and final site plan approval for during its meeting 7 p.m. at .

Last week Vistar, currently operating on Dutton Drive in Twinsburg, announced it will be the first occupant of the former Chrysler stamping plant, bringing its 50 employees and creating 10 more jobs in the next five years.

The food distributor is running out of room in its current 93,000-square-foot facility and will construct a 137,000-square-foot site on one of several parcels at the former Chrysler site. Demolition could begin in the next several weeks.

At the meeting, the Planning Commission is also scheduled to vote on a conditional use permit and final site plan approval for an outdoor patio at  on Ravenna Road.
