Planning Commission Will Look at Final Plans for Kent State Regional Academic Center Tonight

If recommended by the planning commission at tonight's meeting, the plans will move to City Council for final approval

Final plans for the new could be closer to completion after tonight's planning commission meeting tonight at 7 p.m.

In tonight's meeting, they will discuss and review the final site plan, the approval of the business area plan, and the dedication plan for Creekside Drive.

Planning commission could give a final recommendation tonight that would put the final approval before City Council in the next few weeks.

The $24 million, 45,000-square-foot project on Creekside Drive is expected to be complete for the fall semester of 2012.

Built to serve nearly 1,500 students, it nearly doubles the size of  building on Darrow Road, the center's current home.
