The Agenda: Planning Commission Looks at Simecek Drive

Tonight the planning commission will hear plans for a dedication plat and multipurpose bike path on Simecek Drive

There will be two items of discussion when the planning commission meets tonight at the Twinsburg Government Center at 7 p.m.

Both items are centered around new additions to Simecek Drive.

First, the planning commission will be asked for preliminary and final approval for a dedication plat on the street. Larry Finch, director of community planning and development, said Simecek Drive is a private street and they are looking to make it a right-of-way to go with future development plans.

Also on the agenda is the preliminary plan for a multi-purpose bike path on the same road. Finch said they are hoping to add a multipurpose trail next to the road instead of sidewalks. That would set the stage for connecting to a bikeway that would go through the new development and to Joshua Miktarian Parkway.

Look for updates from both of these stories Tuesday morning at Twinsburg Patch.
