Office Sought: Ward 2 Council Seat Twinsburg, Ohio

Previous Political Office Sought or Held: I’ve worked in positions non -elected in Twinsburg as a resident the last 14 years: Kent State University Geauga Campus Advisory Board, Twinsburg Tax Incentive Review Committee, Beautification Board, J.E.D.D. I’ve sat on several Focus groups promoting Twinsburg City and School District, Twinsburg New High School Construction Committee, and Twinsburg Band Booster.

Statement: I’m running for the Ward 2 Council seat to make a difference, giving the Ward 2 residents a choice this November 8th. I made a commitment 14 years ago to get involved in the community and school district to help make Twinsburg a better community; I feel I’ve made a difference. You can look around the city and see the Beautification floral scaping I was involved in.  Working with the school district on planning the new high school addressing student and resident request.  My involvement and investment of time and energy in Twinsburg reflect the commitment; I have for my community and fellow residents. Once elected, I plan to represent Ward 2 on council being visible, accessible and accountable to them.

Revitalization through business development is a concern I have and will work with mayor, council and the economic developer to determine how we can encourage growth to create jobs.  We must continue to work on collaborative efforts to reduce expenditures at city hall.  I ‘d like us to continue examining  grant opportunities to assist us with the Capital Improvement plans for Ward 2 to address road issues .
