Twinsburg Clerical, Service Workers Get Three Percent Raises Through 2015

City council approved an agreement with the union representing 54 city employees.

Twinsburg's HR Director, Clay Morris, recently concluded negotiations with clerical and service workers for the city, which included three percent raises each year through 2015.

Morris said the collective bargaining agreements with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Ohio Council 8, Local 1313 are effective April 1, 2013 through March 31, 2016.

The agreements were approved by city council last week.

There are 32 employees represented by the AFSCME Service Unit and 22 employee represented by the AFSCME Clerical Unit.

"This was a pretty basic contract renewal," Morris said in an email.

The next planned contract negotiations will be with Ohio Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association (OPBA) in January of 2014.
